Andrew Krag, an out-of-work car salesman, leaves his Denver home for a backpack trip into the Snowmass-Maroon Bells Wilderness. When he returns, he discovers that his wife, Leslie, has moved to Italy. She has also put their house up for sale and left him a big cashier's check.
Andrew, faced with a separation that seems more permanent than temporary, moves to Leadville, CO and lands a construction job, one well-suited to his previous geo-tech engineering experience. He easily settles in to his new life and begins a relationship with Sarah, his employer's niece.
Leslie, who suffers from an undiagnosed case of borderline personality disorder, realizes that her impetuous action was a huge mistake and wants a reconciliation at Christmas. Andrew, however, is convinced that their marriage is over and files for divorce.
An angry Leslie returns to Denver and meets with her attorney to fight the divorce. She suspects that Andrew is involved with another woman and hires a private detective to dig up incriminating evidence.
In Dick Reynolds' fourth novel, a vengeful wife is determined to achieve justice for being treated so terribly. Pursuing a rage-filled "scorched earth" war, Leslie swears that if she can't have Andrew, no woman can.

Filling In The Triangles
Andrew Krag left Denver for a week mountain climbing after he and Leslie had an argument. He was sick of playing her fool, so what he was laid off from the Lexus dealership, he was an engineer for God sake but with the economy bad he needed to climb some fourteeners and get his mind straighten out. He knew the young couple were greenhorns at mountain climbing and vowed to stay as far away from them as he could but the next morning he saw they had made camp pretty close to him, and eventually they talked him into climbing with them. By the time he returned home, Leslie was gone and told him to get out as she put the house on the market and had written him a big fat check!
Leslie Krag jetted off to Europe as soon as Andrew left. She was used to getting her way and knew that her husband would see the error of his ways and come for her to beg her to come back. Months later after she had tasted the delights of two men Andrew hadn't come back but called and said he was divorcing her! She flew back to Denver, hired a private investigator to learn that her husband was catting around on her and she formed a plan to make him pay!!
I was so excited upon hearing that I would have the opportunity of reading the new novel Filling in the triangles by Dick Reynolds, as it was something that I had found most intriguing by an author whom I had not encountered before. The stunning photograph on the cover captured my attention almost immediately, as did the interesting and original storyline that is so different to Dick Reynolds previous four novels. Being something that I would not normally read I was thus pleasantly surprised by how the author captured my interest, making me want to read on and find out more. His other works such as Averil, My Anchor, Mayhem in Mazatlan and Nightmare in Norway are all such uniquely distinctive novels that profess his inmost thoughts and views on life, hence this volume one could say is a product of his previous hard work and years of study that raises the standard even higher; for his own personal achievements and this genre.
Andrew Krag takes a backpack trip to the Bells wilderness and upon returning to his home he finds that not all remains as he left it, such as his wife who has left him to move to Italy. His house now up for sale in Denver and a cheque in his pocket Andrew thus decides to start a fresh and begin a new life in Leadville CO, where he lands a construction job in engineering and begins a relationship with Sarah his employer's niece. Whilst filing for a divorce, planning ahead into the future Andrew's wife returns to plead his forgiveness as she regrets her decision to leave him therefore a lot of the past comes to the surface once more. A vengeful and determined wife, who is enraged and hurt, begins her battle against her husband to not only try and win back his heart but to prevent him moving forwards into the future; especially with another woman.
This novel is about love, loss and guilt which many readers will be able to relate to and connect with their own lives. Those who have been happily married and who have gone through a divorce will be able to connect with Dick Reynolds story and his characters, which show much feeling and honesty within this kind of situation. Realistic, believable and truth-drawing this story reaches out to ones heart touching your very soul with its honesty and truth that I could relate to. Thought-provoking to the core and heartwarming this story will make you cry, laugh and question all that you read, making this a book that you will be most reluctant to put down. I am overwhelmingly impressed by such an accomplished author whose work is so deep and meaningful, being both enjoyable and engaging to read and which has surpassed and exceeded all expectations. One can connect so intimately and personally with Dick Reynolds characters that it is as if you are a part of their story, hence this saga is brought vividly to life before your very eyes. Captivating, mesmerizing and fascinating this book maintained its momentum throughout from page one to the very end, with a most dramatic and spellbinding conclusion to a brilliant tale. I cannot thank the author enough for having the privilege to have read his work, which I cannot enthuse about enough and I urge you to read as it was fantastic.
Dick Reynolds does an excellent job in creating a fine way of bringing the reader into a combination of the outdoors of the Colorado Rockies with an interesting cast of real life characters. I found myself having a consuming interest in their lives and how the outcomes of the twists and turns of the triangles of relationships between them came to past. I'm looking forward to a sequel to this one.
I read "Filling In The Triangles" last week while vacationing on a California beach in a motor home. A book has to be terribly good for me to abandon my usual beach activities, which was the case with Dick Reynolds's latest. The story was engaging to the point that you want to read the entire book before putting it down. Highly recommended reading!
Overall, it was a great book, and highly entertaining and riveting. But I was a bit disappointed in the ending! I was hanging on to my seat near the end as I was reading about the crazy, ex wife Leslie. But then the ending didn’t leave me satisfied!
